This news just posted today by the Board at Audi Club NA regarding the Pike’s Peak Hillclimb and Frank Beddor Nationals Event…

We have kept touch daily with the officials at Pikes Peak regarding the decision to hold the Pikes Peak event. Although initially officials indicated the race would run, as of last evening, it was announced that the Pikes Peak Race will not take place on July 8 and will be rescheduled to run later this summer. Unfortunately ground conditions dramatically worsened last night (http://www.usacracing.com/ppihc/news_ppihc/5439.html) and many of the roads we were using for the event are now closed for emergency vehicles.

The Audi Club NA Board and Rocky Mountain Board discussed the situation this morning. The decision was made to reschedule the Frank Beddor National event to coincide with the rescheduling of the Pikes Peak Race later this summer.

Race officials indicated that the new date for the hillclimb would be announced in a few weeks. Audi Club North America will hold the Frank Beddor National event in Colorado Springs, and hope that everyone will be able to join us. As soon as the new date for Pikes Peak is announced, we will notify members.

We understand the great anticipation for this event on the part of members, and also the year-long effort in planning the national. The Rocky Mountain Board, Phil Long Audi and Audi Club North America will reschedule the event and hope you will join us in Colorado Springs later this summer.

All VIP tickets that were sold will be honored for the later date, and you will be notified asap once the date is determined. Please remember to cancel your hotel rooms at the Cheyenne Lodge at 719.538.4000.

Further updates can be obtained by calling the National Office at 262-567-5476.

Our thoughts are with the citizens of Colorado Springs as they go through this difficult time.
